Hello, I am Ana
A project manager and a parent. An expat living in Lisbon, Portugal.
Several years back, I moved here with my family. What began as a temporary assignment gradually became a new chapter of life overseas.
How It Began
Relocating to Portugal wasn't in the cards for our long-term plans. Like many international moves, it started as a job opportunity and soon grew into something much larger.
The first months were intense — new systems, new routines, new expectations. Everyday tasks felt more complicated than they should.
The Adjustment Period
There was culture shock, doubt, and plenty of hands-on learning. Gradually, routines settled in. We found spots that suited us, connected with other families, and began creating something that felt steady.
Why I Built Bough Pouch Granite
Most online resources were either high-level corporate relocation tips or superficial travel content. What was missing was a genuine, everyday family viewpoint.
This site aims to fill that gap with practical guidance drawn from real life in Portugal.
